Announcing eased lockdown level 3 regulations on 01 February 2021, President Cyril Ramaphosa said the sale of alcohol is once again allowed under certain conditions. The sale of alcohol by licensed premises for off-site consumption will be permitted from Mondays to Thursdays, from 10am to 6pm. The Democratic Alliance (DA) in JB Marks Local Municipality has laid charges of fraud and defeating the ends of justice at the local SAPS station following land invasions next to the Agricultural College and PAWS in Potchefstroom. Members of the public acted on misrepresentations that were not made by the JB Marks Local Municipality following claims that the municipality was moving residents to these areas. Police in the Nyanga cluster ensured that perpetrators of crime are brought to book and a firearm, ammunition and drugs were confiscated over the weekend. In a move to curb the spread of COVID-19, South Africa has moved to adjusted lockdown level 3 from level 1 with immediate effect, President Cyril Ramaphosa said on Monday.
