    Kuruman Police Station closed after Covid-19 case

    The station will open on Saturday 27 June 2020, meanwhile community can access service through mobiles placed in front of the station

    Kuruman police station in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District had to be closed for 24 hours as the building was being decontaminated after one member attached to the station tested positive to COVID-19.

    According to Police statement, the said member has been placed under quarantine. Other members who came into close contact with the member have been isolated.

    The decontamination process will be finalized today, Friday 26 June 2020 and the Police Station will be fully operational from tomorrow, Saturday 27 June 2020.

    The Provincial Commissioner of the Northern Cape, Lieutenant General Risimati Peter Shivuri has assured the community of Kuruman that services won’t be hampered as the community will receive assistance through Mobile Community Service Centre temporarily placed in front of the police station. 

    The Station Commander, Brig Baloyi can be contacted at 082 495 4803, Col Phete 082 874 4332, Shift Commander 078 118 1346 and Duty Officer at 082 454 2942.
