The Capetonians are asked to help victims of fires that destroyed homes in Qolweni, Plettenberg Bay, last night 3 June 2018.

The Chairman of Plett Watch, Marius Venter have pleaded with people to help with blankets, building materials, clothes and anything that can help the victims.

Currently it is not clear how the fire started or how many people are affected since Bitou Municipality and Fire Services Department at the Municipality are yet to respond.

It is however understood that as much as 40 people may be affected. It is also understood that power lines were burnt during the fires and most people are left without electricity.
