    COVID-19 infections in North West at 14006; 3 Police Stations now closed

    Rustenburg, Mothutlong and Atamelang Police Stations currently closed due to COVID-19 infections

    The numbers of Covid_19 infections in North West have risen to 14006 with 3241 recoveries and 48 deaths.

    According to the Statistics released by the Provincial Health Department, Bojanala district has the highest numbers of COVID-19 infections at 8847 with 2095 recoveries, followed by Dr Kenneth Kaunda at 3470 with 927 recoveries, Ngaka Modiri Molema at 1211 with 176 recoveries and Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati at 358 with 43 recoveries.

    Rustenburg is the Provincial epicenter with 7004 COVID-19 infections followed by Matlosana with 2367, JB Marks with 1055, Madibeng with 971 and Moses Kotane with 725.

    The number of hospitalized patients is 484 with 31 in ICU and 16 on Oxygen.

    Atamelang, Rustenburg and Mothutlong Police Stations currently closed.

    Atamelang, Rustenburg and Mothutlong police stations are currently closed due to some of its member having tested positive for the Covid-19.

    According to South African Police Statement, the affected police station buildings are currently undergoing decontamination while members that have come in contact with the infected members are undergoing screening and testing.
    The communities serviced by the affected stations will be informed when the stations will be operational again.

    At Atamelang, the Community Service Centre will now be operating from the mobile Community Service Centre placed at the northern side of the police station as a contingency.

    Regarding Rustenburg, the Community Service Centre will now be operating from a mobile Community Service Centre (CSC) placed in front of Rustenburg Municipality Town Hall at Corner of Fatima Bhayat Street and Beyers Naude Avenue, as a contingency.
    The old police station contact details are not working, but the police station can still be reached at this number: 0824161975.

    For Mothutlong, the Community Service Centre will now be operating from a mobile Venue Operational Centre placed in front of the station, as a contingency.
    The old police station contact details will be diverted to Brits police station. However, station can still be reached at the following numbers:
