If today 01 December 2018, you notice that you suddenly don’t have electricity, don’t rush to call the Eskom help line yet.
The power utility has confirmed stage 1 rotational load shedding for today. According to Eskom, rolling blackouts will persist from 09H00 to 22H00.
The utility had Friday evening warned of load shedding possibility owing to some non functioning generating units due to planned maintenance, while a “higher than expected” number were offline because of technical faults.
You can head to Eskom website and check if your area is load shedding.
