Rand Water has urged residents in Johannesburg not to stock water as a maintenance operation gets underway in the city. The water utility is installing a new valve on the line running from Lethabo to the Vereeniging pumping station. Water supply is expected to be interrupted for 54 hours starting on Monday morning. Six officers have been nabbed for alleged corruption in Mpumalanga following an anti-corruption drive by the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC). Two of the officers are SAPS members while the other four are traffic officers. The six officers were rounded up in Komatipoort, KwaMhlanga, and Middelburg. Three of them – a female and two males aged 42, 37 and 34 – appeared at the Komatipoort Magistrate Court and were granted bail. President Cyril Ramaphosa has met with members of the Eskom board at his Genadendal Residence in Cape Town to discuss reforms at the power utility. Community members from Ivory Park, Gauteng have castrated and killed a man they believed was part of a gang of three that had raped two girls on the night of 15 June 2019. According to Police Captain Lungelo Dlamini, the girls are aged 14 and 18. Mooinooi: North West. Police in Mooinooi are investigating the murder of 15-year-old Felies Sithembile who was allegedly stabbed by a 15-year-old learner on Monday, 10 June 2019.
