Plettenberg Bay residents will no longer have to travel as far as Knysna for Licensing and other related queries.

This follows the opening of a new Bitou Driver’s License Testing and Traffic Yard on Thursday 28 March 2019.

The facility at Ladywood along the N2 opposite the new Magistrate Court was officially opened by the Executive Mayor of Bitou, Councillor Msimbothi Peter Lobese.

According to the Municipality, residents are able to test for their licences, book for their tests and renew their licences and do other related duties at the centre.

The significance of the opening is that all Bitou residents and everyone in possession of a learners drivers licence for all codes, will now be able to take their drivers license test in Plettenberg Bay. This represents a saving of travelling costs to Knysna or any other drivers license testing/ traffic centre in the country.

For the past few months Bitou residents have already been able to also sit for their learner driver license tests at the Bitou DLTC (Drivers Licence Test Centre), located at the Main Library, New Horizons, Plettenberg Bay.
