The Polokwane Municipality has issued a statement informing residents being serviced through the Olifantspoort plant about water shortages due to repairs on Specon pipeline.
According to the statement, the pipeline was damaged while cleaning storm water drainage channels.
Estimated time for repairs is unknown according to the Municipality, but technicians were currently assessing the damage caused.
Currently the plant is at 0% and many areas will experience water shortages. All areas of supply will be affected including Zebediela, Lebowakgomo, City, Westernburg, Nirvana, Ivy Park and Seshego.
The Municipality has called on the residents to use water sparingly and has apologised for the inconveniences caused to the residents.
