Young Capetonians across the Western Cape are encouraged to utilise Youth Cafes across the Province to better themselves and seek opportunities that might benefit them.

These Cafes have been established in George, Oudtshoorn, Great Brak River, Mitchell’s Plain, Nyanga Junction, Vangate Mall, Vrygrond and Velddri.

An initiative born out of the Western Cape Provincial Youth Development Strategy and the New Provincial Strategic Goals, Youth Cafes provides support, services and opportunities for the Youth who are not employed, have no education or training and are between 16-25 years.

Youth Cafes seek to provide the Youth a platform where they can access skills and personal development training, economic and social development opportunities and creative spaces where they are able to express themselves at a local and global scale.

Young people can go chill and have coffee and enquire about available employment programmes or job readiness training, or they can use the computers and access the internet to check for personal development and leadership and mentoring trainings.

In order to become a member of the Youth Cafe, young Capetonians will be required to be 16-25 years and have ID document or birth certificate.
