    Suspects in Nquthu killing applies for bail

    Two suspects who appeared in the Nquthu Magistrate Court Wednesday 22 August 2018 on four counts of murder and one count of attempted murder, were today; 24 August 2018 expected back in court for bail application.

    The first suspect (35) was arrested on Tuesday, 21 August 2018 in Nquthu and the second suspect (42) handed himself over to the police Wednesday 22 August 2018 in the morning.

    The two men are accused of killing four men and wounding a women during a horrific shooting which happened in Nquthu on 4 August 2018.

    The suspects allegedly approached three men in a vehicle and shot all three of them before taking their vehicle and proceeding to the victims homestead in Mabaso.

    The victims were identified as, Nhlakanipho Mabaso (23), Nkomo Zulu (29) and Simphiwe Dlamini (30).

    The suspects then allegedly shot another man and an elderly women. Both victims were seriously injured and taken to hospital. Later a young man identified as Philani Mabaso (21) died at the hospital.
