Patients in Greater Tzaneen Municipality will hopefully no longer have to wait longer periods for orthopaedic operations. This after Letaba Hospital welcomed welcomed Othorpaedic Specialist, Dr MKA Molepo to assist the Provincial Department of Health to reduce orthopaedic operations backlog in the Mopani District.

Dr Molepo, wearing a blue shirt, is seen in this Limpopo Health Department photo being welcomed by Senior Clinical Manager, Dr Mike Ramothwala and also flanked by Senior Medical Officers; Dr Dupree and Dr Marcias

Molepo who has been personally recruited by the Health MEC, Dr Phophi Ramathuba, joins the hospital after patients had to wait for a long time before they could be transferred to Polokwane for operations.

The recruitment of Molapo is part of the department’s drive to recruit much needed specialists into the public health service in the province.
