Serbia and Montenegro have on Wednesday, 01 August 2018, strengthened relations and cooperation between the two Countries as they signed agreements between their respective police in the fight against organised crime.

The ministers signed seven agreements and two protocols on cross-border transportation and border control.

The interlocutors pointed out that the police of the two countries, with even more intense cooperation, want to send a clear message to criminals – that they will fight against them even stronger and that they will stand in the way of organised criminal groups.

Stefanovic underlined that the agreements on cross-border transpiration and border control, which are signed today, will contribute to improving the efficiency of the work of the border police of the two countries.

When it comes to irregular migration, he assessed that this is not an issue that affects only Serbia, and that a unique response to this problem must be found at the level of whole Europe.

Nuhodzic stressed that the cooperation between the ministries of the interior of Montenegro and Serbia is intensive in all matters that are important for the two countries, primarily in the field of combating organised crime and illegal migration.
