    Public asked to help Grahamstown Police to identify a corpse.

    The South African Police in Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape have appealed to the public to help identify a man who was found dead on 23 February 2019.

    According to Police Captain Mali Govender, the Police were at the time alerted of skeletal remains that was found along the R67 between Grahamstown and Fort Beaufort approximately 5kms from Grahamstown.

    On investigation the remains was clothed with a striped shirt, a jacket, a pair of pants with a tracksuit pants underneath and a small bunch of keys. A pair of safety boots was also found. The skull will be forwarded for possible DNA analysis.

    All attempts to trace and establish the identity of the deceased has been unsuccessful so far. Any person who can assist the SAPS in identifying the deceased through his clothing to contact Detective Lt Col Riaan Havenga on 0824168279 or Detective Warrant Officer Danny Brits on 0824110832.
