The Limpopo Provincial government has announced its intentions to suspend it its Spokesperson, Phuti Seloba.

According to Premier Mathabatha’s Spokesperson Kenny Mathivha, the Provincial Government had been made aware of serious allegations made against Seloba in the past few days.

The intention to suspend Seloba comes after the Chairperson of the official opposition EFF in Limpopo, Jossey Buthane alleged on Facebook Posts that Seloba had told him Limpopo Premier misses meetings because of being drunk; that the Premier had at one stage forced a trip overseas so that he could spend time with Limpopo Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba and that some Limpopo MECs awarded tenders to their husbands.

In view of the seriousness of these allegations, Mr Seloba has been given an opportunity to make representations as to why he should not be suspended pending investigations on these allegations against him.

Mr Seloba has been given an opportunity to respond to these allegations by Monday, 5 November 2018.
