    Three Limpopo illegal miners to appear in court

    The suspects were arrested following a tip off.

    Limpopo Police have arrested three illegal miners in Limpopo.

    Limpopo Police said in a statement that the suspects, aged between 28 and 38 were arrested during an intelligence led joint operation that was conducted in the Apel policing area outside Lebowakgomo last night.

    The arrest follows a tip off from members of the community in Bogalatladi Village about the three suspects’ allegedly mining chrome illegally and the information was immediately followed until these suspects were arrested on the spot.

    The suspects will appear before the Sekhukhune Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 23 June 2020 facing charges of illegal mining.

    Police said investigations are still continuing.
