Bloemhof, 24 December 2024 – Six suspects were arrested during a Crime Intelligence-led operation in Bloemhof on Sunday morning, 22 December 2024, for drug possession and dealing.

The operation, carried out by the Bloemhof Crime Prevention Unit, Public Order Policing, and the Anti-Gang Unit, involved searches of five identified residences in Bloemhof town, Coverdale Extension 10, and Boitumelong Extension 4.

Police seized drugs valued at R66,000 during the operation. The suspects arrested include:

1. Stanley Abuchi (40) – Dealing in drugs


2. Kedirileng Kgwebane (39) – Dealing in drugs


3. Chidi Emeodi (41) – Possession of drugs


4. Davidson Okorie (55) – Possession of drugs


5. Khayalethu Mothibi (28) – Possession of drugs


6. Victor Eytini Masiu (37) – Dealing in drugs



All six suspects appeared before the Bloemhof Magistrates Court on Monday and were remanded in custody. Their next court appearances are scheduled for Friday, 27 December, and Monday, 30 December 2024.

Acting Provincial Police Commissioner Major General Patrick Asaneng praised the arrests and drug seizures, highlighting them as part of the ongoing Operation Festive Season. “The police will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety of our communities during the festive season,” he said.
