In a powerful initiative to spotlight children’s rights and well-being, global sports giant PUMA and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club (MSFC) have launched the new “HOPE KIT” Third Kit for the 2024/25 season. Revealed on National Children’s Day, the white and blue design symbolizes youth, innocence, and positivity, reinforcing the theme of children’s empowerment.
Mamelodi Sundowns spokesperson Tiyani Mabunda encouraged supporters to join in the mission, stating, “We invite our loyal supporters and incredible fans to purchase this HOPE KIT and become part of our mission to ensure every child in South Africa has a chance to thrive and reach their full potential.”
The HOPE KIT features several unique design elements, including a rubberised Mamelodi Sundowns badge, “Sky is the limit” wording at the back of the neckline, and an authentication badge. For the professional athletes, PUMA has utilized its ULTRAWEAVE fabric, which is known to reduce weight and friction, offering an athletic fit tailored for peak performance. The Replica shirts, made with recycled polyester, will allow fans to share in the club’s vision sustainably.
Fans can purchase the HOPE KIT starting on 2 November 2024, with the Authentic Players Shirt priced at R1,599 and exclusively available on PUMA.com and at PUMA Retail Stores. The Replica shirts are set at R1,199 for men, R1,099 for women, and R999 for kids, and will be offered through PUMA.com, PUMA Retail Stores, Sportsmans Warehouse, Totalsports, Studio 88, and selected retailers. Additionally, a range of fanwear will be released throughout the season.
Mamelodi Sundowns will debut the Third Kit during their upcoming match against Polokwane City on Wednesday, 6 November, at Loftus Stadium, marking a significant moment in both sportswear and social advocacy.
